Bass Dunklin Sponsors Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Foundation Luncheon at the Bronze Level

April 30, 2017 – For the third year in a row, Bass Dunklin was a proud bronze-level sponsor of the 2017 Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Foundation Spring Luncheon. Held each spring, this non-profit luncheon kick-starts the annual CMPD fundraising efforts. Established in 2004 by local business and civic leaders, the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Foundation works to strengthen Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department services and to promote public safety in Charlotte, North Carolina. An independent, non-profit 501c3 organization, CMPF dedicates their efforts to assuring safer neighborhoods and highly skilled and equipped police through better technology, education and programming. With tax-deductible donations, they provide the tools and training needed for a cutting-edge police force. CMPF coordinates events that not only raise much-needed police department funds, but bring the community together.

This year, the Foundation welcomed Dallas Police Chief David O. Brown as the 2017 Spring Luncheon Keynote Speaker. Over his 33 years in the Dallas Police Department, the Chief was a patrolman, a crime scene detective, a SWAT team member and leader, an internal affairs detective, and assistant chief. He is the longest-serving – and most beloved – Dallas Police Chief in modern times. More info here at the CMPF website.
